Achille Castiglioni crystallized his design aspirations immediately after the Second World War, focusing mainly on city planning, architecture and particularly on design. Achille has received various acknowledgements such as the permanent exhibition of six works at the Museum of Modern Art of New York and winning five editions of the Compasso d'Oro award. Continuing his spectacular design legacy he has reinvented many items for Alessi featuring modern flair and functionality. Castiglioni designed the
"Bavero" line of dinnerware with a crisp and simple, uncluttered approach which is exhibited with the "Bavero" Saucer for Teacup. Made of elegant white porcelain the teacup and saucer will both add a touch of class to any table setting.
