I had Rowenta Irons for about 8 years (3 different ones). This iron
is lighter and heats faster. It steam presses far better than my high end Rowenta irons ever did. You can't use softened water in this iron- so I buy
cheap water at the grocery store- it is worth this small inconvenience!!

It is important to me that an iron heat quickly and perform well. This iron successfully de-wrinkles clothes even while ironing on a bed. Also, important is that it has a safety shut-off in case left on accidently. The weight serves as an advantage and disadvantage. It is solidly built which adds weight so for those of us without much hand strength, it is harder to lift. I still love it since it takes less effort than lightweight ones that require more hand pressure and time to get job done.

This iron is really fast to heat up, so it is ready to be used quickly. The digital display is very easy to use. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because a few times the digital display went a crazy and started flashing and beeping and you couldn't read what it said or work any of the buttons. I had to unplug and plug it back in to get it working again. It irons really well and holds a lot of water at one time, so you are not always refilling. This iron was highly rated by Consumer Reports.

I bought this because it is a Consumer Reports Best Buy. It does work well but leaks water but not sure if that was when I tried to use it several times when it was turned off but it happened multiple times.

Digital panel for all settings.
Can adjust steam independently from the heat settings!!
Large water tank - but you will go through it quickly.
Makes ironing easy and fast.
Was able to set the steam high with the heat to low so I did not glaze my military uniforms - poly/wool blend.
Was able to iron the thickest parts of denim jeans - FLAT!
Great Iron!! Worth every penny spent on it!!

I think the product is great. There are only a handful of clothes that can't be de-wrinkled completely. But I think that's more due to the clothes.
