I love this 7 qt sauteuse pan. It's big enough to cook four to six steaks to perfection, covers two gas burners, and is great for one dish meals. I made pepper steak in it last night. Last weekend I prepared a whole beef tenderloin with shitake mushrooms in a red wine sauce.
Service and delivery comments:
Order arrived a day or two before estimated delivery date. The pan cover had a small dent and I called customer service to report it. Had this been a gift, it would have been problematic, but as an avid cook, I expect to put a lot of wear and tear on it.

Heat is not distributed evenly throughout the Pan, but the problem might be my electric coil burner, which is pretty small for the size of this pan. You need to make sure that you have a large enough burner to fully enjoy this pan. We are in the process of remodeling the kitchen, which will bring a new Wolf gas range. This new range has a lot bigger burner surfaces and I think it will work better. It would also be better if the lid were made of see-through glass so that I would monitor the cooking, but if you are experienced cook it's not a big problem. The reason I purchased this pan was for its size and the lid. I was interested in large surface so that I could place 6 stakes without the meat being on top of each other. The lid was necessary for simmering at very low heat. It's a good product and I am using it a lot.
