I got this pot as a place holder for when I can get a more heavy duty dutch oven. However, I shouldn't have bothered. I feel it takes a long time to get hot and does not seem to retain heat the way I need it to. It is cumbersome to wash in my sinks. I have only used it twice. Once was an epic fail and the other time was mediocre at best. I have never had a Calphalon product disappoint me. This one did. And it does not look like the one on the picture.

I have owned my Dutch Oven for several years and was just thinking the other day how great the pot is and how well it is working for me. I use it for pot roasts and stews and get even cooking,the handles stay cool and it cleans well. I bought one for my parents house over Xmas and it also worked well to cook the families xmas dinner.
