After getting over some skepticism with purchasing American made knives I took the plunge and am glad I did. I have owned Wusthof Trident, J.A. Henckels International, and Cutco...Calphalon puts them all to shame and for less. Calphalon puts out a great product, in fact I was so happy with the knives I have purchased several other Calphalon items and have been extremely pleased. My recommendation...BUY and ENJOY! Use the money you save to buy a nice Calphalon cutting board!

Comments about Calphalon Contemporary Cutlery 17 Piece Set:
I have bought calphalon knives individually [...]and they have always been great. I finally splurged and ordered this set and it arrived in horrible condition!!! There are oxidation spots on all the knives and they are all duller than dull. I have no idea what happened to this knife set prior to arrival but I would never recommend it. I'll stick to buying them one at a time....
