Comments about Cloer Electric Kettle - Brushed Aluminum:
The manufacturer says the kettle becomes noisy if you let water deposits build up inside, but mine was so noisy from the start that it disrupted conversation. So I scrubbed the bottom and it got quiet, leading me to believe I may have gotten a reconditioned or returned unit.
After the water boils, the kettle shuts off rather than keeping the water hot, so you need to reheat every time (I don't know if that's standard for electric kettles.)

Comments about Cloer Electric Kettle - Brushed Aluminum:
The blue light makes it easy to tell whether the kettle is on, and is kind of mesmerizing too! Also, the lid fits well so little steam escapes, which saves electricity and the kitchen cabinets. Bought this to replace a Capresso kettle whose handle fell off after four years, but the construction of this kettle is quite different, appears much more sturdy and I hope to use it for years to come. All in all very pleased with this purchase.
