Because of counter-top surface not being smooth, this item has a very smooth surface allowing vacuum feet to adhere without sliding. I love it to be able to use my other appliances again. It also is easy to clean with no grease retention. I do not like the fact the feet are not non-skid. This allows the board to move around on a counter top surface. Silicone feet would be best.

I bought this marble cutting board mainly so I could make cream candy for my dad who will turn 85 this week and was reminiscing about the cream candy his mother used to make. He said it has to be a marble board because the candy will stick to any other kind of surface. I haven't made the candy yet (planning to do it today), but I have used this cutting board for other things since I got it, and just love it! It fits perfectly on my kitchen counter and looks very attractive with my kitchen decor. This marble cutting board was a great value for the price, and I have nothing negative to say about it.

I never dreamed I would find this so very useful. I know I will never be without one again. This one is big enough to do anything on, thereby keeping counter tops looking new. One of the best features, whether you've rolled pastry or sliced meat, is that you can just put it in the sink or dishwasher and wash it. I used to dread cleaning the counter after making/kneading dough. But, it's so easy with this thing. Also, it's quite attractive. I highly recommend. I would not buy one any smaller -- this size is just right.
