The permanent filter is great. The only problem is that the lid must have had a crack in it because a chunk broke away during the second week I used it. Frustrating .... but no time to send it back and it does not affect it's ability to make my morning coffee.

It's great having a cup of coffee waiting when I get up. The only problem I have found is the holding tank is hard to fill. I simply use the sink sprayer to fill it. The pot is sitting on the counter by the sink, so for me it's no big deal.
