Anyone who owns Denby will tell you how versatile it is and how good it feels. Every piece has been designed for cooking, serving and eating food – from the ‘gravy rim’ on the plates to the space on the saucers for biscuits. The tableware is made for real food, not just for show. It’s for sharing, for fingers, for chopsticks, for barbeques, for kitchens…you choose, and everybody knows great food looks and tastes better if it's well presented. Denby was born from this love of food!
The Denby legacy began in 1806, during the construction of a road linking the industrial towns of Derbyshire. A local entrepreneur named William Bourne examined the clay along the road and quickly realized its prodigious attributes. Two hundred years later Denby has become a household name worldwide for its collections of stoneware pieces and is rapidly gaining a foothold in porcelain (White, White Trace and Serve) and China collections (China by Denby).
