Comments about Farberware Classic Stainless Steel 10 Piece Cookware Set with Glass Lids:
I got this set as a present for my sister who only has "odds and ends" pots and pans. I inspected the set when it arrived, and the non-stick skillets look like they would probably last about 5 years with heavy use; longer if treated gently with only silicone or bamboo utensils. The extra aluminum on the bottom of the pots is great for even cooking, but I have some myself, and they don't do well with repeated cycles through the dishwasher. Since they're NOT non-stick, they'd probably have to be soaked and wiped out by hand anyway. The handles on the pots, pans, and lids looked like it might crack if dropped on a hard surface, but felt good in the hand and looked thick enough to maybe get hot over a long period of time, but they would prevent burns. The lids were glass, but that doesn't bother me. Overall, the set would probably last 5 years with rough use and longer if a small amount of care was used. The price was GREAT for this set, and I'd buy it again.
