Cyrén is one of Sweden’s most prominent designers of all time, famous not only at home but also abroad. He trained at the University of Industrial Art in Stockholm, specializing in metals, and as a gold and silversmith. However, after moving to Orrfors in 1959, Cyrén was primarily known for his designs in glass. Later, Cyrén was selected to design both glassware and flatware for the 90th anniversary of the Nobel Prize. The Nobel line of flatware is still one of the most popular in Scandinavia today.
