Comments about KitchenAid Cookware Cast Iron 8 Quart Covered Oval Dutch Oven in Garnet:

I can't review the performance, because I didn't even get past opening the product and quickly realizing that the color shown is NOT what you get. If you don't care about that, the product will probably work fine. I could have chosen a lot of other brands if I wanted a brighter red product, but I was looking for a burgundy color and from the pictures, this fit the bill. I ordered the 4.5 qt and 8 qt dutch ovens. The 4.5 qt and lid were actually a brighter red, grading down to almost a blackish/red. Very weird colors. The 8 qt. dutch oven lid actually looked a lot like the pictures shown, however; the dutch oven pot was the same color as the 4.5 qt set. So, the 8 qt lid/pot didn't even match. If the color of the product doesn't matter to you or if you don't care if the lid actually matches the pot, then you might want to order this, if it does matter, I would not recommend this product.
