The one thing I look for in a pan is the non stick quality. Some pans will have a Teflon coating, some you just douse with nonstick spray and others you may need to season. I have tried, with no success at all, to make a meal that did not stick to these pans. I am not a person that writes reviews about products. As a matter of fact this is the first one. I am just so frustrated that I can't even cook bacon on these pans, the greasiest food no to man without it sticking to the pan. I have tried low heat, midheat, hi heat. I have tried seasoning the pan, nonstick spraying the pan. The only thing I have not tried, and I feel it has come to this, is tossing them in the trash where they belong. They are beautiful looking pans but would qualify as one expensive centerpiece. My feeling, not worth the money.

This is an awesome set. I actually bought two sets because we cook socially alot.

There is one issue to be aware of, however. We chose this line because we have an induction stove. The smallest pot size is too small to work on even the smallest burners. We took it to several other cooktops (induction) with the same result.

Now, here's the good news. We called KitchenAid and they replaced the too-small pan with the next size up. Great service! But just be aware that if you are buying for induction use, you'll have that issue to deal with.

I bought this cookware for my daughter-in-law as a Christmas present. She was thrilled when she opened it as it was just what she wanted. She has been using it since Christmas and seems very pleased with it.
