About Michael Chiarello

With four television series on the Food Network, six cookbooks, and known for Napa Valley icon the Tra Vigne Restaurant, Chef Michael Chiarello is also the creator of NapaStyle specialty foods and handcrafted products for the kitchen, home, and garden. Born and raised in California’s Central Valley, Michael has been exposed to the deep and rich cultures of food, and became accustomed to a lifestyle which grew directly out of their land. “Food – its cultivation, preservation, and preparation – centered our family life,” says Michael Chiarello. When Michael became founding chef of Tra Vigne in Napa Valley, he relied on local farmers just as his Calabrian family did generations ago.
