Comments about Nesco / American Harvest 18 Qt. Roaster Oven with Stainless Steel Cookwell:
I bought this roaster for use in our church kitchen in preparation of weekly meals. I have not used it personally but the cooks told me that they were very pleased with it and that it seemed to supply even heat. They used it to roast a turkey soon after we received it.

Comments about Nesco / American Harvest 18 Qt. Roaster Oven with Stainless Steel Cookwell:
This is an inexpensive roaster oven that doesn't do much of anything except cook food. It does that very well, however. It has a temperature range of 250 to 450, which is adequate for most purposes. What we liked best about it was its size and proportions. It will easily hold a 20-pound turkey and cook it to perfection. Even if you only haul it up from the basement once or twice a year, it is still well worth its modest price tag.\n\nOne note of caution: the instruction booklet warns about smoke and odor when you do the initial "curing" of the unit, but nothing prepared us for the cloud of toxic fumes that poured out of it. Everybody got sick from it. Our advice is to do this part of the setup outdoors or in a garage.
