We were trying to copy some fried potatoes we had in a restaurant in Florida and this did the trick. The only complaint is that even with the large blade you can only get a medium dense potato cut. No french fry type. Even still we use this at least twice a week.

Comments about Paderno World Cuisine Plastic Spiral Vegetable Slicer:
Great way to encourage kids to eat veggies & fruits. Onions slice paper thin, and because the juice is not pressed out, the eye irritation is minimal or none at all. I use the spaghetti blade on onions. Makes easy work of shredding. I use the 'spaghetti' blade and then 3 or 4 chops across the pile in each direction with a chef's knife & you have perfect shreds. Be very careful, the blades are ultra sharp.\nRecipe: 1 or 2 small zuchinis, small vidalia onion. Run them through the spaghetti blade, add 1/2 C. chopped nuts, a few chopped fresh herbs (Parsley, thyme, or whatever). Mix and serve with a viniagrette. I used a rasberry walnut dressing.
