This is one of the best appliances I own. My husband and I cook a LOT when we can. During weekdays, however, when we are at work/gym, we come home starving and either eat leftovers or bring takeout. With the crockpot I come home to a perfectly cooked and warm meal. I set it in the morning while preparing breakfast or having coffee. We make coq au vin, osso buco, red beans and rice, pork & vegetable roast, stuffed bell peppers... Last weekend we went out hiking with some friends and by midday we were all starving and wondering where to eat. Since I had started the crock pot in the morning with some lamb shanks, I invited everyone over. I just added a salad and some gnocchi, but people were utterly shocked at the quality of the food. I couldn't get over the fact that I had been playing out all day and still could have company over in the evening.
