This is a great mixer for the home cook/baker. I mostly have used it for cake batters so far; this model surpasses my last MixMaster in ease of use and smoothness of mixing, and requires less scraping! The accompanying instruction sheet decodes the speed setting numbers, but past models have put those words on the settings dial; I'd have preferred that on this model, too.

I have been cooking all of my life, but have never made bread before. Now Wednesday is bread day! It is easy with this mixer on my team. I made bread once with out using this mixer, never again. The bread was not as good either. Since this mixer is in my kitchen, good thing keep happening in my kitchen.(Tasty ones too!)
