TEC Grills:
Known as The Infra-Red Experts, Thermal Engineering Corporation, or TEC, has dedicated a great deal of time and effort to the research and development of radiant energy. Since their first infra-red burner was introduced in 1961 they have created an impressive portfolio of innovations in applied heat transfer including more than thirty issued or pending U.S. and foreign patents.
By the 1980's TEC Grills was using their infra-red expertise to improve the efficiency of commercial cooking equipment. They designed and built grills that heated up faster and more evenly across cooking surfaces, yet used less fuel. Radiant energy does not rely on a transfer medium like hot air; rather, it cooks without drying. So cooking with infra-red energy is not only more efficient, it makes food taste better. In 1980 TEC introduced the world's first under-fired infra-red gas grill, and chefs began to discover -- and taste -- the mouth-watering, flavorful advantage of infra-red grilling.
Infra-Red technology provides high-efficiency and long-lasting burners that use minimal fuel. For over 40 years TEC Grills has researched, developed and perfected applications of infra-red radiant energy. Perhaps their greatest invention was the infra-red gas grill. This product is too heavy/large to ship via the small package delivery services (e.g. UPS, FedEx) so it will be sent to you via truck freight. Truck freight is different than standard UPS, FedEx or US Mail in that you will be responsible for carrying the product from the back of the truck into your house (or wherever it's going).
The most important thing to remember about truck freight is that you MUST inspect the package at the time of delivery. If the box has any damage, or if there is any reason for you to be at all concerned about damage, please write "PRODUCT DAMAGED" clearly on the sheet that they ask you to sign. This simply insures that if there is any damage, it will be easy to take care of the problem.
If you are ordering a very large item, please keep in mind that you may need a couple of people to help unload it. Alternatively, most truck freight companies offer additional services to help you move items from the truck into your house. Once we email you the tracking information you can contact the shipper directly to inquire about additional services. You would be responsible for directly paying the truck freight carrier for any additional services.
