We have a diabetic cat who needs to eat a raw, ground meat/bone diet. This grinder eats through raw chicken thighs with drumstick with a hardy crank action & flys through a breast like butter. The bone is palverized with no pieces to be seen. The only con is that it is limated to the thickness of the counter that it can attach to. I wanted to attach it to my butcher block but the grinder won't open that thick.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
