      I use it as a samovar and leave it full of just water and it is on 24/7. I notice that the water becomes littered with what seem to be bits of metal that come off either the ring type structure at the bottom (which is corroding) orperhaps from the heating element. Is there any way to avoid this?

      I actually bought this for my husband.
      He kept complaining that there wasn't enough
      coffee at work...and he had to keep making the new pot because the office coffee pot was only a 10 cup and it kept burning up!!!

      I have had this coffee maker for 15 years. My friends use it, my mom uses it. Everyone asks me to bring it to parties. You do have to set it up early as it takes about 20-30 minutes to brew. Coffee is strong and hot! I love it!!!
