I looked for this product because it is light in weight and easy to use. I did not want a regular crock pot becuase they are to heavy to lift.

I have made one dessert in this crockpot. Also chili, stew, sauces and roast.\n\nYou can go about your business for the day have your meal ready when you are finished.\n\nThis product can go with you in an RV, or just take along on a vacation to prepare a breakfast of eggs, bacon, hash browns, pancakes or french toast. It would be great for a dorm room. It saves you from having to spend a great deal of money on food for a vacation.

I use my slow cooker alot, so I need one ASAP. I have used this cooker for about a year or less. When I used and washed it Sunday,Jan. 13th, the inside black lining started to peel, not chip. I use all plastic utensils when cooking and I never use scratch pads to clean it. I have never had this happen to any of your cookers. I like it so much that I am going to try another one.

The best feature to me is being able to brown or braise meat on top of the stove in the same pot that goes on the slow cooker. I also like the size which accomodates large roasts and whole chickens.

We have had 3 of these West Bend slow cookers over the last 20 years and replaced each one after the teflon got scratched. We tried a crock pot but it cracked after a short time so we went back to the teflon coated West Bend slow cookers and will stay with them until it is time to replace. We like the feature of being able to cook in the West Bend and then transer to the refrigerator after it cools down if we want.

The shape of the pot allows for a better fit for larger roasts and birds. A full length eye round roast fit very easily. Cooking Garlic beef stew, I used the pot to brown the meat on the stove top then slow cooked the meal, served it in the same pot, which looked very nice in the center of our dining table, then stored the left-overs in it in the refrigerator and at the end I had only one pot to clean.Thank you for a most practical setup.
