The new "PlateBowlCup" tableware set and "Glass Family" glassware set take their place alongside the "KnifeForkSpoon" cutlery set (2004) as the first Alessi Tableware collections. Moderately priced but without the quality of the design being compromised, Jasper Morrison sought to create a democratic design: "I like the idea of a democratic wine glass which is slightly more formal than the others, to be used to give the table an easy aspect of a "dinner" rather than just dinner."
