The Trio set continues the tradition of multifunctional, elegant ittala design. Consisting of three stackable parts, all made for many purposes – a pitcher, a small bowl and a bigger bowl – it is classical glass design in its purest form: plain and light. By coffee and tea the pitcher can be used as milk jug, the small bowl for sugar and the bigger bowl for sweets, marmalade or cookies. As a total set, Trio fits elegantly on any coffee and tea table. When serving snacks you can put olives, nuts, crackers or small vegetables in the bowls and the dressings in the pitcher – you choose the combinations. Trio sets are all hand made and meticiously free blown at iittala glass factory in Finland.
Born in Finland in 1975, Camilla Kropp now works as a freelance designer in Germany. Kropp has studied design in Sweden and UK; she acquired her MA degree at the London Royal College of Art, Department of Ceramics and Glass in 2001. Kropp received training on ceramic design at Arabia, and on glass design at the Nuutajärvi glass factory in Finland. She has received grants from the foundation for Swedish Culture in Finland and was the first prize winner of the “Young Swedish Form” Award in 1998.
